How We Handle Your Vehicle
-
1
Wheel removal and pad thickness check
We remove road wheels and measure remaining friction material against minimum manufacturer tolerances.
-
2
Hub surface preparation
We spin off corrosion from the wheel hub face using a rotary wire brush to stop disc distortion before it starts.
-
3
Caliper slider maintenance and assembly
We clean the guide pins, fit fresh anti-rattle clips, and install the new rotor and pad combination.
-
4
Fluid bleed and bed-in drive
We purge aerated fluid from the lines and perform a controlled bed-in cycle down our test route.
Questions about this service
Can I replace just the pads if my discs look fine?
If the discs measure well above the minimum thickness stamped into the metal lip and show no deep ridges, we are happy to fit pads only.
Why do my new brakes squeal for the first few miles?
New friction compounds transfer a micro-layer to the metal rotor during initial bedding, which settles after fifty miles of gentle use.
Do you service electronic parking brakes?
Yes, we wind the rear electric park actuators back using our scan tool before touching the mechanical calipers.
